Attended Methodist Ladies College where she rowed for three years. She was an Australian National Schoolgirl Silver medalist, was part of a schoolgirl eight that set the Victorian state record and was in the top international ranking for her age on the erg. She also won bronze medals at the Australian Rowing Nationals in the Open Women's 8+ . Alice also played basketball, winning bronze medals at the Australian National Basketball Championships in 2002 and 2004.

At Yale, Alice is a freshman in Calhoun College.
